Q: Dear Dr. Innes, 
I am 30 lbs. overweight. I have struggled with weight problems all of my life and it seems to get harder to lose weight as I get older. I have been on every program imaginable over the years. The problem is that I have cravings for sweets and I eat under stress. I eventually go back to my old eating habits. What would you suggest I do to get "permanent weight loss"?

A: Lee, 
There are a few things that I have found to be helpful. From the Amazon Herb Company line of products, the Metabazon helps to control the cravings for sweets. The Sumacazon helps with the stress response by supporting the endocrine system/hormonal imbalance that generates a lot of the inability to respond properly to stress stimulus. Illumination is recommended also as a multi-system nutritional support and dietary supplement. The best way to control sweet cravings is to increase your protein intake and eat lots of raw and cooked vegetables to balance the increased protein intake. The protein will help to maintain a more even/steady blood sugar level, which will also help to eliminate sweet cravings.

I have deep dark circles under my eyes. I noticed that my husband and children have the same problem. A friend told me herbs might be able to help. What could be causing the deep dark circles and how can I help my family with this problem?

Dark circles under the eyes are generally system toxicity and allergies - particularly food allergies. In oriental facial diagnosis, the eyes relate to kidney function. I keep hearing about a Rainforest herb called "Cat's Claw". Could you please tell me what it is and what health benefits it has?

It is very difficult for me to stay focused on anything. My attention span is very short. Q:  Dr. Innes,
I have a friend that has been diagnosed with H. Perloria. It is a bacteria that causes ulcers and stomach cancer. She also has problems with ulcers in her mouth.  She says this is very contagious, and worries about her child catching this. Can you recommend any herbs that could help her with this problem? Her doctor gave her some medicine to take for two weeks but it didn't do her any good.
The second friend is a male around 45 years old that has the Lyme disease. He is in pretty bad shape for his age. He is diabetic, and has had joint surgery on his ankles. He hurts all over with his joints. He has a blood filter and also takes a blood thinner.  He can't have anything that could thicken his blood, and he a a bleeder. He is ready to have some help that would do him some good. What can you recommend for his problems?

Regarding your friend that has H. Pylori Bacterial imbalance: We do not treat bacterial problems with herbs as that would be practicing medicine. However, what we can do with the herbs is strengthen your friend's immune system by feeding her body a unique form of food that will allow her to defend herself naturally and fight off foreign invaders that we all are exposed to on a daily basis. You are exposed to bacteria, viruses, fungus, mold, parasites, toxic chemicals and pollen on a daily basis. It is only when you fail to defend yourself properly that these foreign invaders and toxic substances become a problem. It is my opinion that using Illumination, 1 tsp. 2 times per day with Sumacazon, 3 droppers 2 times per day and Una de Gato, 3 droppers 2 times per day mixed together in a glass with some water will help her. 
Regarding your friend with Lyme's disease and diabetes: Again we do not treat the diseases. We strengthen the person with the condition or imbalance, promoting their natural ability to self regulate their body function. It is my opinion that Illumination, 1 tsp. 2 times per day, with Metabazon, 2 droppers 2 times per day and Sumacazon, 3 droppers 2 times per day in a glass together with some water will help him.

Cold and flu season is here and I would like to know what to use to protect my family from all the 'bugs' going around. What's your suggestion?

Today, as it is everyday, we are exposed to bacteria, virus, fungus, mold, parasites, toxic chemicals, pollen, candida/yeasts. It is never a question of exposure, we are always being exposed to bugs. The variable is our bodies response to the exposure. One of the ways to improve your body's ability to respond to bug exposure is including rainforest botanicals in your daily regime of nutritional supplementation. The Triple Power Pac is designed to be used as a daily nutritional supplement package. A new product that also assists in daily nutritional supplementation is the Aquazon. Dear Dr. Innes:
I'd like to get in better shape for the New Year. I'm starting to work out again, but I want to know what herbs I should take to 'get in shape' - clean myself out and what I should take daily to stay in shape. I'm 6' and 190 lb. male. How much of what to take?

Products from rainforest that assist in getting in shape are in the Triple Power Pac. These products help improve the body's ability to cleanse, nutrify and build all systems and structures including muscles. I would add to that Aquazon capsules. For an adult male or female you want to start slowly and gradually increase the dosage to enhance the effects. If you get liquid Triple Power Pac I recommend you start with 1 tsp. Illumination and 3 droppers Sumacazon together in a glass with a little water taken morning and afternoon. The dose on the capsules in the triple power pack: Illumination caps is 3/2x per day Sumacazon caps 3/2x per day for two weeks then double them 6/2x per day. Shipibo tea is taken 1 tea bag per day. Also take 3 Aquazon capsules morning and afternoon. After two weeks of this procedure double the doses to: Illumination 2 tsp., Sumacazon 6 droppers, and Aquazon 6 capsules morning and afternoon. Shipibo tea 1 tea bag 2x per day. If you want increase the rate of cleansing you can add Fiberzon 1 scoop per day for two weeks then double it to 1 scoop 2x per day.

I need to lose weight! I've tried diets and lost some weight, but can't seem to lose any more. I still need to lose about 15 pounds. Are there Rainforest Herbs that will help me?

Body weight is the result of the metabolic process properly breaking down, utilizing, and eliminating the food that is consumed. First I recommend the Triple Power Pac. All systems must be properly nutrified and cleansed with this combination of products. Generally, for most adults start off with 1tsp. of Illumination and 3 droppers of Sumacazon in a glass with a little water, taken morning and afternoon. Use 1 Shipibo tea bag per day in boiling water per day. Add to the Triple Power Pac, Aquazon and Fiberzon. Aquazon is taken 3 capsules 2x per day, Fiberzon is taken 1 scoop per day. Follow this procedure for two weeks then double the dose to Illumination 2 tsp 2x per day 6 droppers Sumacazon 2x per day, 2 Shipibo tea bags per day, 6 Aquazon capsules 2x per day, 1 scoop Fiberzon 2x per day.
